Greetings from Colebrook Town Hall

At its July meeting, the Board of Selectmen voted to expand Town Pond hours, beyond when lifeguards are on duty, once appropriate signage has been posted.

During August, the Pond will be open, with the gate unlocked, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday (aligned with Town Hall and the Community & Senior Center hours).

As in the past, lifeguards will be on duty, weather permitting, during normally scheduled hours, Thursdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sundays from noon-6 p.m. The Pond closes for the season on Sunday, August 25th.

Local taxes are due—and are considered late if not paid by August 1st. The Tax Collector’s office will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during July, 9 a.m.-noon and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, August 1st.

The Colebrook Labor Day Fair will be held on Saturday, August 31st, with many volunteer opportunities available. If you’re interested in volunteering, reach out to Karen at kodell@colebrooktownhall.org.

The Colebrook Community & Senior Center continues to offer meals throughout the summer. Breakfast ($6) is offered from 8-9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. Lunch ($7) is served at noon on Thursdays. Please reserve your spot for lunch by Tuesday of each week by contacting seniordirector@colebrooktownhall.org, or using the signup sheet at the Center.

Thank you to the Colebrook Associates for their assistance in acquiring surplus AEDs from Norfolk for use at the Colebrook Congregational Church and the Colebrook Historical Society.
